I was just looking at this unit, and I was told that the stock CD changer wouldn't work with it. Is this true? Do I absolutely need to lose my stock CD changer and get a Pioneer one, or would there be a way to install the AVIC-N1 in the cubby hole somehow and hook up my stock stereo/CD Changer to work with it?

Doesn't come with remote, that costs extra. Doesn't come with carry case for the detachable face either.

xswl0931,

How much does the remote cost? If you have the remote, do you find it easier to operate the unit with the remote or using the screen?

Do not have the remote. It's close enough that a remote isn't necessary.

I just installed the unit and it is great, but I have a stupid question. How do you change the time? I can access a time screen that allows me to change the hour, (i.e. time zone shifts) but I can't find a menu that lets me change the minutes... any suggestions?

It will automatically set the time based on GPS information. You should only need to set the timezone and daylight savings.

The minutes should be automatically set according to the GPS clock.
