Does the unit store music? If so, is it possible to play a DVD, yet have your stored music play out the speakers?

Don't think the unit stores music, but it does store the nav destination, so you can program the nav, then put the music CD back in.

Hey Guys.

Well I got my car broken into and fortunatley they couldn't remove the AVIC. They did destroy my center cosole pretty good though... I have ordered necessaary parts to repair it but in regards to the camera, I bought this: http://www.crimestopper.com/index3.html
its a license plate camera. It works great. I don't know nor seen what Pioneer version's ganna look like but Plate cam does work flawless. FYI!!!! I've just found out that it is EXTREMELY EASY to break into 350Z. It litteraly takes 2 seconds to get in without breaking any glass. I won't say how so its not encouraged here in this forum but man it does suc* bad........

are you gonna buy the AVIC-N1 again? I imagine so..

quick question, does the mp3 play back let you ff/rew? I know most of the mp3 player does not let you do it, just skip to next track, etc..

also, does it or doesn't it play VCD?

thanks!

Well I purchased the AVIC-N1 over the Internet for $1549.00

They are charging me $250 for the install in my Z. Where has the Z owners placed there GPS antenna?

My question is, I know you can't play DVD's while moving but the installer said all you do is ground the parking brake wire and it will work while moving. I am asking this, so my wife has something to watch during our 2000 mile road trip.

Also I have the Pioneer DEH 9300, should I leave it in there or sell it. I am debating what to do.

I am getting my unit installed this Saturday.

i just ordered mine too off ebay for $1410. should be here friday!

I'm wondering the same thing, where did other Z'ers put the gps box and how do you make it play while you'r driving? If there's no way to do it, i think i might put another screen in the passinger visor and take advantage of the tri-zone shiznits. I'd rather not spend the $$$ on that though.... any ideas and suggestions would be greatly apperciated!

Well I got my AVIC-N1 installed today and trouble started at the very end of the install. Here is my post of my nightmare. My car is stuck at the stereo shop until they get the heater core line fixed, grrrr. It better be done tomorrow + my carpet is drenched coolant,

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=80966

However, I did get to use the sytem for about 5 minutes, and I am impressed, however I have a question concerning the optional voice recognition.

When I would listen to my CD Changer while the NAV is playing, the CD player would cut off, right before a turn. While the NAV is saying something but nothing comes out of the speakers. Is there a setting, ect to get the NAV voice to work.

I just didn't have time to check into it since they were closing and I couldn't drive the car home, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Does anyone have the optional voice kit? Where did you put your microphone. Mine is on the drivers side upper sill by the visor.

I am getting the rear view camera next and the DEQ-8000 (5.1 Digital Audio Proccessor.

It sucks not having my Z, I really wanted to check out and cruise with my NAV.

BTW, they hooked it up so passengers can watch movies while driving.
