Amp Channel/sub Opinions Please!
Ok, I just thought I'd ask seeing as how both ideas are about the same price. If they are not please correct me or give me your opinion. I'm sure on the brand though by the way (Alpine):
Should I get a mono amp with '15 Type R (or Type S) sub
-or-
Should I get a 2-channel (I don't know about car audio so please tell me how the channels work vs. ohm and wattage) Amp with 2 '12's
Both set-ups are around the same price I believe but then again wouldn't it sound the same? And does 2-channel mean it's running two things (subs)?
I would figure with a 2-channel amp running 2 '12's neither sub would get as much power VS. a V-12 mono amp with a '15 sub or something. At least in the price range.
I want my bass to be noticed, more so of course than the stock Z Roadster (would either of these set-ups be THAT noticeably different than stock is actualy the key question). I'll worry about changing speakers and head unit later.
How much is the cool carbon fiber layouts (cheaper than boxes?) to put these in as well?
Thank you for your advice and comments.

Ohm, Watt, RMS simple definitions please. I'm assuming that WATTs is the over power the sub can handle yet RMS is the "speed" more or less power "supply" that is being delivered/accepted?
You said to run 560 RMS x 1 OHM from the amp to a 500 RMS Sub?
Just looking at it number wise is that to much for the amp or does it not have anything to do with wattage?
To prevent me from looking like a dumbass and asking these kinds of questions about car audio, man, please help!
Thanks again!
