5-ch Amp for under seat? Below Glove?
Anyone have experience with mounting an amp under the passenger seat? I was thinking of going with a 5 channel to run front and rear speakers as well as a sub in the stock location. For anyone who has done it how did you mount it? Wiring?
Has anyone fit anything in the false bottom under the glove box? How much modification was required?
I'm a newbie to this kinda stuff so appreciate any tips.
Amp recommendations would be apprecaited as well.
Thanks!

I just put an Alpine MRV F340 behind the glove box. It would not fit under the glovebox, but there is space behind the glovebox.
I think a b igger amp would have fit, but I am not sure of that.
Check out my second photo here to see the amp mounted behind the glove box bracket.

Hmm thats an interesting location, I hadn't thought of that spot. How exactly was that mounted? Drilled holes into that back metal plate behind the glove? Is that a 5ch? Is there enough air back there for cooling? I was thinking at least under the seat it is still exposed to the air in the cabin.
BTW if you don't mind me asking how much did the shop charge you to install that stuff? I was thinking about buying all the stuff and handing it to a shop since I've never done anything like this before. Also paranoid about some shop ripping apart my baby

There is lots of air space back there. The back of the glove box stops at the bracket you see in front of the amp. The rest stays air space when the car is re-assembled.
The install took like 13 hours, but I am really picky and it was done perfectly. The price would depend on your shop's speed and hourly rate. It would also depend on what they provide. I provided everything including cable adapters, speaker spacers, dynamat etc.
