Lightbulb I never knew this about the Nav

I never knew that if U turn off Short Menus you can get access to a address book and many other options. Wow, I can't believe it took me this long to find out.

LOL

It took me 9 months. I actually complained twice to Infinit about giving me the old version of the NAV software before someone pointed out my error.

hehehehe

I hate the short menus. Thhey are a waste. I had the Nissan Nav system in my previous car (2001 Infiniti QX4), so i realized something was up from the start when i couldn't find any of the features I was used to.

Yeah, lol, took me a few weeks. I was reading the manual and kept wondering why I didn't have those features, then I figured it out. I've had the car a year and two months and about 2 months ago I figured out you can turn the voice off. I dunno how I missed that all this time, but that naggy woman was driving me nuts.

That's funny you guys missed those functions. But I'm such a nerd, I had to read the book all the way thru as soon as I brought the car home. As for the "naggy woman", I've named her "Betty Bossy Pants".

the second, whats the deal with the "info" - how accurate is that - more over, do i need to reset that each time i service?

1. You can't.

2. Info is accurate. It's my oil reminder. No stickers on my windshield!

^ and yes...you reset it when you change your oil. It will pop up on the nav screen and remind you when to change. It tells you "To Pit".
