I just got the diamond audio component speakers. s600a

does anyone have these? has anyone heard them? are they a good speaker?

 

Diamond Audio is high end stuff. They should be good.

 

There are good speakers, although the "a" version stands for the aluminum tweater, which is much more "tinny" than the "s" silk version. All in all though, they are really good speakers and can handle quite a bit of juice. I currently am running my front set at 150 Watts apiece, with 75W to the rears. The reason I have the s500 in front is due to having them in my Integra before moving to the Z.

 

I would recommend pods for them if you can afford them though. If you are not running a sub, the bass for them is not as hard hitting down low without an enclosure. With a sub, they are definitely perfect for mid-range.

 

I have the S600s (silk dome tweeter), and I love them. Suprisingly capable of handling the low frequencies, and smooth highs. Yours will be a little brighter, but I would expect great performance nevertheless.

Depends on your music preferences to tell you the truth. Only you will know. I would not worry about it at all though. The s600's are really nice speakers regardless of which type of tweeter you got.

 

I can always trade you some Kappas if you wanna get ride of them
