Amps under/around 100 bucks?
does anybody know any good cheap amps? all i need it for is to drive a pair of Infinity 63.5i Kappas...
the sub got an amp already.. i'm jsut thinking that there arent too many head units that would give me the power i want..
so far i've seen
500W KENWOOD AMP 4 Channel for 75 bucks
and
400W CLARION APX401.4 4 Channel for $110
any opinions are welcome

You wouldn't believe it, but Bazooka series is actually pretty good for the price....at least when you're looking under $100 and need some decent power.
Also not sure what the RMS power is on the amps you listed above, but I'm assuming the 500/400 is peak...You need to make sure to find out RMS.
Also, if you are driving just a pair of speakers, you only need a 2-channel, not a 4.

yea.. i started thinking about just 2 too.. the thing is that i'm planning on upgrading the system once i get some more $$$ heh.. but then if i buy a cheaper 2 chan amp then i'll be albe to replace it later.. so yea.. i'll check out the Bazookas

I recently purchased a new JBL P180.2 for $119 at Sound Domain for my truck. It's a great amp, good reviews (google), well built, great specs. It's 90/ch RMS and something like 360 bridged. So you could use it as a sub amp in the future.

n666, I have a Lanzar Vibe 480 4 CH amp that is running my Infinity components and rear speakers. I had a PPI 4 CH amp until I blew one of the channels. I sent that amp back to PPI for repairs and bought the Lanzar amp off ebay for $69 plus shipping. As far as I can tell, the Lanzar amp sounds better than the PPI amp does. So for about $85 shipped, I think the Lanzar Vibe 480 is a good 4 CH amp. I am not sure about the cost of a 2 CH amp by Lanzar. Just my .02

It may be the 410 that I have. I just realized that i did not buy that off ebay. I get stuff from everywhere so it's hard to remember what comes from where. There is a Lanzar Vibe 410 which is rated at 4 x 75 RMS for $69.99 on etronics.com. That is where I got mine from. Shipping is about $15 if I recall correctly.

JBL Low end amps are good.. Planet Audio low end is decent... California Low end amps are ok too.. I wouldn't go w/ the lanzar vibe though.. thats a flea market amp. You drive a nice car.. spend the extra 60 bucks for a decent name. Also look into reliability.
I will agree with the flea mkt comment, but it does sound much better than one would expect. I am very impressed with how it sounds for what it costs. I'd say to go with PPI, but they are considerably more expensive.
