nope - except that your new head unit will be more attractive to thieves than your stock one.

yup, the security is on another module (BCM) and has nothing to do with the radio. The only thing that would be affect by the removal of the radio are the stock NAV unit and sub.

alphared, I see. So, how does it affect the sub? Does that render the sub non-usable, and how do people work around with this to make the sub works again?
