Default HELP! CD stuck

Anyone have any hints or tricks on how to get a CD that will not eject from my CD player? I have the stock Non-Bose HU. I put in a CD and it took it normally but the CD would not play at all. It now will not eject.

It may have been the wrong CD. My son has some he burned MP3's on and those obviously won't play on a regular CD player. It looked just like one I burned that had songs in regular format that will normally play in my car.

Doc, I just checked the ESM and there in nothing on stuck CD.
I have in the past gotten CDs stuck in the HU and had to remove the unit and open it up. I found the CD half inserted. The mechancism to eject could not engage the CD. Hope this is not your problem. But it's a thought to pass on. Good Luck I know how fustrating it can be.

If it's half stuck...wouldn't pushing another CD in make it go all the way in....then you can hit the eject button.

The tracking mechancism has probably already retracked into it rest postion and pushing another cd may damage the auto insert linkage.

A lot of times you can hold the eject button down for up to 20 seconds to eject the cd. I've had to do this several times with aftermarket cd players that won't track discs. You can also disconnect power from the unit and plug it back in. If it doesn't spit out the cd right away press the eject button before the player can read the disc.

I tried nudging it with another disc and no deal.

Would disconnecting the battery have the same effect as unplugging power to the HU? It would be easier.

I'll also try the eject button for 20 sec thing too.

Well, the eject button was held for 20, 30, 40 seconds but to no avail.

I will now attempt the battery disconnect.

I would hate to think I have to take the console out and open up the CD player.

I have a 1200+ mile round trip to Z DayZ starting tomorrow and no CD player.

At least I can still use my PC to play CD's if I had to.

You must return to 8 track. They never get stuck and the quality can't be beat.

Shouldn't the dealer pull that out of there under warranty?

I got it out
push the eject button and at the same time try to put a cd in.
I did this and it spit it right out.
