Default Opinions on Boston Acoustic FX6's.

Anyone heard these yet? They aren't new, but I have not gotten a chance to listen to them yet.

I have these separates for the front, coax for the rear. JL 4x150 powering them, JL 1x500 powering JL stealthbox, Alpine somethin somethin(plays CD/MP3/WMA) and friends tell me it's pretty sweet.

I'm sorry...I'm having trouble deciphering what you said. You have the B.A. fx6's installed as your fronts? Is that right?

That's what I intend to use as my rears also. I heard them in a friends car and that made up my mind for me. I plan on using the Boston's RC620s as my fronts

What kind of tonal quality did they have? Bright, warm, midbassy, loud, balanced....??

Smooth overall sound. Other coaxials I listened too seemed a bit too bright for my liking. The FX6 was not as bright and the mid range was what I was looking for. Listening to speakers is such a subjective thing; If I was you I'd find a dealer that carriers them and give them a listen; Just because they fit my listening requirements, does not neccessarily mean they'll fit yours.

Oh yeah of course. I am planning on trying some out when I get my HU installed. I tend to gravitate towards brighter speakers like the Kappas but lately I have been listening to my Polks at home and some well balanced studio monitors and I have begun to like a warm sound more. Thanks for the input.
