Default PS2 Install/placement

I've been thinking about installing my PS2 and was curious to get some responses regarding placement. Some said under the dash (where the glove compartment would be) others, the obvious rear passanger seat compartment. My concern is wiring, I really don't want to see any. Any responses or tips are appreciated (pics would be great too!). Is it also possible to have the DVD remote IR fit in and work somehow? The best install I've seen so far is yoonakron's:

I put mine in an easy accessible place... stand it straight up behind the passenger seat. The seat will still move all the way back, and all u have to do is recline forward a lil bit to have the cd tray move out. Its the best unnoticeable place.... i had mine hangin over the passengers feet but found that it was too hard to reach and the cd tray was too close to the top plastic part...
If u have anymore questions ask

Interesting. Do you mean it's standing upright outside of the compartment? How is it mounted? Are you using an inverter for power? Any pics? Thanks!

If you don't want to see any wiring, you can put in the glovebox behind the passenger seat and use wireless controllers.

yeah just move the passenger seat all the way up, put the inverter under the seat, and all the wires, rout them through the side console, into whatever u have set up, then stand the ps2 vertical, and move the seat all the way back and it sits in there perfectly, it wont ever move, unless u move the seat up, but its easy access, i just have to recline the seat a lil forward and the cd tray comes out easier... Ill try to get pics sometime soon, my cam got stolen
