Default **Pioneer N1 Nav System Installed!!!!

Just got my car back from Serenity Sound & Performance with the new Pioneer N1 Nav system. I really haven't had a lot of time to play with the system, but my overall initial impress inition is amazing. This system kicks ***. Very fast searches, great display options, several routing options, great sound and very cool performance options. The touch screen works great along with the voice activation feature.

Here are some pics i snapped.

How do you feel about it only having one slot to load cd's/dvd's/and the nav dvd? I purchased the Eclipse AVN2454 and I love the dual slot so I can keep my Nav DVD in while I have a cd playing in the other slot. I love that Pioneer system, but it came down to how often I really play cd's, which is quite frequent.

Install was $200. Serenity Sound & Perf did the install in Fountain Valley. They do amazing work, all they do are imports for the most part. Very very cool cars there as well. They do everything from Performance installs to stereo equip. Ask for Thai.

Actually you can!! The Nav has a flash memory feature which allows you to listen to CD's and DVD's while your trip is stored. I actually listened to a CD, on my way to San Diego (2 hour drive) with the Nav working perfectly. I'm not sure how long the memory lasts, however it worked great on this trip.

I have the N1 installed as well and the memory nav feature works better than expected. I had a trip from Seattle to Portland. My gf in the passenger seat was watching a DVD and the route was saved in memory and the directions worked great (although it annoyed my gf that it kept interrupting her movie

The only limitation is you can't perform a search or change your route unless you put the nav disc back in. Most of the time I have it on vehicle dynamics during daily driving to work anyways, so it hasn't really been an issue at all.

Does anyone have this unit installed in a roadster, I'm not sure if I will be able to see the screen with the top down.
