Hooked the colors up? How do you know that the colors corresponds to the factory ones? The anntenna Amp is pin 5 (G/W wire, guess that's Green/White)
On your 10 pin factory harness it'll look like this
2 4 - - 8 10
1 3 5 6 7 9
You won't see the Antenna amp unless you remove all the panels from your trunk. (see pic)
No point in buying something (ant. booster) you already have stock. Just make sure you connected it right.
I experienced an extreme degradation in performance of my tuner after I installed a new head unit myself. Can anyone please explain exactly what wire from the factory harness needs to be plugged into the Metra wiring harness in order to utilize the factory wiring antenna booster?

Look at your Headunit wiring diagram, there should be a wire for Auto Antenna (or something similar)

The g/w wire on pin 5 (out of 10) is the wire you need to hook up. (see previous post)

I think there is still some confusion going on and I am going to try and clear it up. On most aftermarket radio wiring harnesses there are 3 wires that don't always need to be used. They are as follows:
Amp Turn On Wire (usually blue): Used to signal the amp to turn on when the radio is turned on so it is not always running wasting your battery. If you aren't using an amp then don't worry about it.
Illumination (usually orange): Allows the radio lights to dim along with the diming of the gauge lights when you turn on your headlights. If your stock head unit doesn't dim then don't worry about it.
Power Antenna/Antenna booster (not sure on color): Allows the radio to raise a power antenna when the radio is turned on. This can also be used for an antenna booster because it will turn on the booster when the radio is turned on. Otherwise the booster will waste your battery.
