Default Help! Too Much Treble!

I just installed the following last weekend;

Kenwood DDX 7015 headunit
Kenwood Excelon KAC X521 amp
JL 250/1 amp
Diamond audio Hex 600s (silk dome tweeter) components up front
Infinity reference rear
JL 8W7 in spare tire area

My problem is that even with the front cross overs set at -3 db, and the treble on the headunit set at -8 (lowest setting) the really high pitch sounds feel like they are making me def. Are there any equalizers that can cut out ultra high frequencies? Any help would be appreciated.

I would think that an EQ would do the trick. You'll be filtering everything through it, so ulitmately it should be the device responsible for tuning the frequencies. A good EQ will improve the sound overall too, if you mix properly.

Hrm, that sounds more like a problem with the way the amp is set up. Either that, or the Midrange are not being powered...

Is there a crossover switch on the amp? Did it accidentally get set to High Pass? Prob be the first place I'd look.
