Design my system
I no longer own a Z but I thought some of my old my350z people could help me in putting together a system. I’m thinking about buying a Scion XB and pimp it out with a cool A/V system. Here are some of the ideas I have. I’m 33 so I don’t need the loudest system in the world just something that sounds nice.
1 head unit with a pop out LCD screen. I don’t need Navi just a DVD player incorporated. I would also like a TV tuner to go along with this. Do this TV tuners bring in decent reception?
1 large lcd screen(15 inch?) that can be seen when I open up the tailgate. This will be fed off the front HU.
4 speakers and 1 sub powered by one multichannel amp.
If you guys could give me a list of some good stuff I would appreciate it. My budget should be around $3K but is flexible.
1. Head Unit
2. TV Tuner if not incorporated
3. LCD screen
4. Speakers
5. Sub
6. Amp

Xtant 4.4
TV tuner, I have no idea. Don't have one so can't recomend anything. Don't know how flexible you are, this is over 3k. Also, I have no idea what size components will fit in the xB. Bostons are winners though.
There's also room to expand. Have the Xtant 4.4 run the front and rear components and get a 6.1 to run a JL 12w6v2.
I agree with the sub option that stu46 suggested but i would not go with a clarion HU I have heard from to many friend of mine who have them they break all the time. I would definatly go with a alpine HU. I am a big fan of Boston Speaker yet also consider MB Quartz Profesional series or Q series they are really nice.
