Default My Passort 8500 X50 install

hey whats guys, this is my install hope u like it. Hardwired it to my rear view mirror. pretty easy install

to install all it was is just a regular phone cord. There are 3 cords on the rear view mirror plug, the ones u need to use are red/back=power, and black=ground. On the phone cord the middle two wires once u splice are power and ground. For me the power=green and ground=red, sometimes its switched so just test which is which. Once i figured out which goes where just souldered the wire together, then wraped in electrical tape.

Looks good. Exactly how I installed mine, with the custom mounting kit. However, you should bend the L bracket more over to the 45 degree angle. This way your radar will be flat instead of tilting up/down like the picture shown.

wait, so you can just connect it to the mirror without buying a hardwire kit?

Rather than bending the bracket, just adjust the mirror post. You will lose some viewing, but I could not even bend the bracket enough to get it where it needed to be.

yea what SungNamz says. adjust the mirror post. thats what i did. when i first did this I was all trying to bend the bracket then i was like hrmm.. what if the mirror post bends.. haha sure enough it bends so now my radar is flat!

o wow it does bend thanx for the advise looks better now, no on to my next mod and install that darn Fahrenhite 7000 monitor and ps2, any1 w/ any suggestions on how to make the ps2 not slide around in the glove box would be much appreciated
