Valetine 1 Hard Wire ?
Well I got my Valentine 1 in today, and had a question concerning hard wiring.
If I hard wire it, can I use the Valetine 1 in my Maxima as a plug in?
I can't believe the Z plug in is all the way behind the cup holders. What a PITA!
Also, the stereo shop that might hardwire it sells Passport 8500's, they stated the Passport blows the Valentine1 out of the water in every test.
They installed a K-40 I believe in a Mercedes AMG SL55 yesterday. Pretty cool, it has front and rear mounted devices. And the interior led's were stealth also. Looked pretty sharp. But they sell it for $599 and charged the guy $1000 total.
Kinda like those Kia dealers saying there Kia Optima is better than a Infiniti or Maxima?

which is better is always up for debate, but in the truly independant tests, the V1 has come up on top every time.
However, that's not your question. Yes, you can hardwire your V1 into the Z and still use it as a plug in to other cars. I often take my V1 out and use it in my wife's van for long trips, or when my coworker and I have to take roadtrips to portland.
For a couple of ideas on hardwiring, see the link in my sig...
