AVIC-N1/Valentine 1 Installed
Well I finally got my Pioneer DVD/Nav unit installed today. If you get this unit, spend the extra $40 and get the optional voice kit, it works great. All hands free. I wil be getting the back up camera in a few months.
Turned out great other than the problems the stereo shop did to the car. Lets see.
1. Busted my heater Core Line
2. Scratched my lower driver sill area.
3. Stained my passenger seat with who knows what.
4. Broke one of my digital guages (glued it back on)
4. And now when I drive the car, it is on "H" meaning
OVERHEATING. The cooling fan constantly stays on now. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. The installer said the radiator must have a bubble, thus its not moving through the cooling line. I think they patched it so much they injected the crap into the hose thus blocking it!
Anyway, I'll find out tomorrow and let you all know the outcome.
Here are some pics of the Nav unit installed and the hard wiring of the Valentine1. Blurry pics, I'll post some better ones when its nicer outside. Figures the only day my car ever gets wet, in 1 year and 19 days, is Today!
Hey Jessenglish, if your reading this, does one of the streets listed look familiar? You lived on Tyndall Street, right?
My first movie to watch was "Gone in 60 Seconds" BTW, I had my unit hooked up so the passenger can watch movies while driving.
I will probably do the under the mirror attachment later. Still figuring out this radar detector.
Pics might be a little blurry.
I love the Navigation, especially the sexy female voice,

Got the V1 hooked up, just got the N1 delivered...I like the setup. Can you give any more of a review on the voice kit...how does it work etc. Also, is that the metra dash kit? Thanks
