I went to Car Toys and this is what they advised to me. Kenwood DDZ7015 deck, 1 JL Audio 10" sub ( box will be behind drivers seat ), JL Audio amp 300-4, Focal Components in the front, leaving the factory rear speakers alone. $3,800.00 for all with installation, cables, dynamat, etc.. Is this a fair price for what I am getting?

 

Don't go to Car Toys. They are a joke.

Cut corners, bad workmanship, etc...

If you treasure your Z like many others, don't do it!!!

ya car toys is nothing but problems from what i hear. Seriously, buy online and bring the parts in. You will save anywhere from 200-1000. Im going with the Alpine 9835-400, Infinity Perfect 6.1s-$218, Infinity 6002i rears - $70, 2 Phoenix Gold Amps - $600, JL Audio 10W6v2 sub $300. Figure $750 for install and cables, and thats around $2300. 1500 less than yours. It could be the different deck, because i dont know that model, but shop online for sure.

 

The Kenwood 7015 is a very good HU. Worth every penny IMO. My friend installed one and he loves it. A lot of people here will recommend Alpine HU. They are good but I don't see paying $400 for a HU with a 1 or 8 bit DAC when you can get the Clarion DXZ745 for the same price and it has a 24bit DAC. The 7015 has a 24bit DAC because it plays DVDs. To each their own, go down and listen to it and get what you like.
