Stock HU, replace speakers...
EDIT: The search at the top of the page does wonders! I suck
I'm going back and forth about swapping out the stock non-bose head unit. I want to keep the dash looking the way it does, as I am not to fond of the way aftermarket systems look in there (distrubs the lines).
Is it easy enough to just swap out the stock speakers in favor of a set of components for the front and 6.5's in the rear? I'm wondering if the stock head and wiring puts out enough juice to make better speakers sound decent. I'd probably add a basslink to the rear as well.
I've had two huge systems in my Tacoma and GTI previous to my 350Z, but I just want my dash to stay stock looking.
Any pics, tips, etc?

I have swapped out my fronts for a set of infinity 6000CS components.. they made a noticible difference.. I'm just using the amp that's built into the stock radio(non-bose) and it's loud enough... I've also installed a basslink and that made a noticible difference as well..
The front speakers were fairly easy to install.. the basslink was a pain in the azz as the stock cubbyhole(where I put it) is so small.. Plus it's *MY* car so I sweated the install and it had to be perfect
I've caught a light case of the audio bug again though.. I'm thinking about getting a Pioneer FH-P5000MP now because the dash looks so plain with the stock head unit.. gotta find a way for it to not get stolen though
I see that you are local to me, If you need any help installing the speakers yourself, PM me, I can lend a hand or at least tell you what I went through..and you can see/hear my setup if you want..
