Default Soldering Iron

Is there such a thing as a wireless soldering Iron? And if so where do I get one? I do not have access to a garage with power outlets so a standard soldering iron won't help me. I need one that is wireless (if it exist).

Yes they exist. They run off of propane or butane. Have little cartridges you put into them. Here is one from partsexpress...

Cannot see how this would be a stupid question, but your welcome!

There's a new cordless cold electric soldering Iron.

Link

I just order one when I saw it. It runs off of 4 AA. Stays cold when you use it and heats up to 500 degF as soon as you solder. Then back to cold within a second.

Sounds too good to be true, so just had to buy one to see if it works. I hate waiting for my old iron to heat up.

I saw that on TV the other day and I have a hard time understanding how it dissipates 500 degrees in a second like it claims. Please let me know how well it works, as it looks like a very valuable tool. I have used many butane soldering irons, they are great!
