Well I have Version 1.0, I called Pioneer and they said there is Version 1.1 that fixes the damn beeping and some other glitches.

They said they would send it out to me if I registered the product, to which I did.

Well its been 3 weeks and no discs yet. I will wait another 6 weeks, but this beeping noise is aggravating.

Anyone else get the upgraded disc just by registering?

 

I've been having problems registering, and yeah those beeps are really damn annoying. But I'm going to call up there and see if I can't get the upgrade.. keep me posted if you ever get it..

 

All you have to do is call Pioneer Electronics at 1-800-421-1404 and speak to a customer rep. Lots of voice prompts though.

Tell them you have version 1.0 and need 1.1 They will ship it via UPS , but you have to send them your 1.0 discs when you get version 1.1

I just went up to the store I purchased my AVIC-N1 to get my sunvisor LCD's and my PS2 installed, and they had the Version 1.1 upgrade disk, so check with the store you purchased (if you did), and they can probably get it for you if you want to avoid all the voice prompts

Does this new version just fix the bugs in Version 1.0 or does it upgrade the Maps also?

Well I heard from my supplier that it was too some of the map changes, but you never know he could just be talkin out his ***.... but i would assume there would be some map changes.....

Well I got Version 1.1 in today. I am also getting a second set of the same discs next week. When I registered, you automatically get the new version and they also sent me a free CD visor holder. I called 4 days ago, not sure if I was getting the disc's or not, so the lady sent me another set. I think I will keep the extra set in my house for safekeeping.

Not sure what all the new version fixed, but the beeping crap is fixed.

I love my NAV, I don't use it much, since my car really is not driven much. But so far, I absolutely love it.

Getting the same unit for my wife's Maxima.
