Default Delphi SkyFi XM radio installed

Just thought someone out there might want to see. I used a dremel tool to cut out a section of the nav compartment to hide the cradle and allow the Delphi SkyFi to fit in the nav compartment. I like it much better than where I used to have it mounted (by the passenger's left knee).

Do you have to hav a head unit the is satelite compatible? I have an after market HU, but it doesn't say anything about satelite radio. It is a JVC. Am I able to set it up still with this HU or am I stuck buying a new one?

no, you dont need a specific headunit, just one with auxillary inputs. The Alpine 9831 I have has an adapter that allows RCAs to be input. The actual output of the XM radio is just a standard headphone jack. If you dont have a way to input signals, then they sell a FM modulator. It is directly wired to the antenna line just behind the headunit, and has like three selectable frequencies. I was using it with the stock headunit and had very good results.
