Anyone know any good stereo installers or shops that do good jobs on custom installs...? I am planning on putting my old stuff that was on my CRX onto my New 2004 350Z. I live in the San Jose, CA. area and if any of you know any good places to get my stereo equipment installed that would be great. I am planning on putting the following gear listed below in my Z.

Panasonic 7 inch DVD In-Dash Flip screen
Panasonic CA-TU9000U (Multi Channel AV Control Unit)
Polk Momo mids and tweets
JL Audio 12W7 (Need Custom Box Built)
Rockford Fosgate 800 A2
Hifonics Apollo Series SON OF OLYMPUS (440 Watt 4 Channel Amp)

They did a custom box for me (spare tire area). Excellent job on the box and reasonable prices. They already did a job for me so they maybe able to quote you a price over the phone. If you want pictures of the trunk area let me know.

depends on how much you want to spend:

Performance sound and security ((408) 369-9597 ) does quite a bit of high end stuff (ferrari, mercs, and porsche). The CEO and CFO of my company (rich bastards )had their porshe and ferrari done there and it sounds awesome. I guess the guy does all the monster cable cars too. But it is very expensive, they charge $110 and hour. The systems I've seen were around $25k. Very, very high end, they even use gold solder . But from what I understand they are the best if you have crazy cash.

A guy (Howard) that charges a little less (and the guy I'll probably go to) used to be partners with Jim from Performance. He charges $75 an hour, and his shop is caracoustics http://www.caracoustics.biz/

I've talked to both guys and they are both very cool and honest. Performance wanted about $8-$10k for a speaker replacement (front, back, sub, amps) for my g35.

I'm in the process of getting a system together with Howard (just talking right now.) He has done quite a few systems for the BMW guys on the roadfly forums. I'm looking at around $5k for JL components front and back, 2 10" subs (this is where we are stuck, not sure what kind of box I want), and a couple of JL amps, etc...

Both shops are in Campbell
