It took a total of about 3 hours by myself. There are a ton of pics that I posted over at Frenzy. Take a look at this thread and let me know what you think.

Do you mean "have you been hit with laser yet?"
No, not yet. Just drove to work this morning to pop in a dislocated hip. Nothing more fun than getting that call on at 7 AM on a Sunday!
I'll let you know.

This has saved me numerous times from laser traps.
Some will argue that this is a waste of money.
All I can say is that the Escort and Laser shifter system has allowed me to enjoy the power of the -Z- MUCH more than before I had it.
Coupled with common sense, it really gives you a higher level of freedom and confidence.

Correct. I posted this somewhere before but radar jamming (active jamming anyway) where a unit actually sends out a radar signal to confuse the cop's radar gun are regulated by the FCC and are ILLEGAL.
Passive jammers that supposedly mix the radar signal with an "FM chirp" but do not send out a radar signal are LEGAL but unfortunately DO NOT WORK. They are basically worthless.
Laser (or more correctly lidar) jammers send out a laser beam in the infrared light range and can effectively "jam" the cop's laser gun. These are LEGAL and are regulated by the FDA believe it or not, since they are used in medical applications.

I understand what it does Bonz, just kinda thought any device that tries to interfer with any piece of gear a cop uses was illegal.

If you don't mind telling, how much did it cost you?

I got it for $298 plus $12 shipping on E-bay. I've seen this thing go for as high as $500-$600 when it first came out.
My was brand new in the factory sealed box BTW.

The laser shifter failed me today.
Yes, I got a speeding ticket.
20mph over.
I believe the Shifter lulled me into a feeling of invincibility because it had worked so well, so often.
I was about 500 feet away when he shot me. The alarm was full strength. I'm certain the "closeness" of the shot was the reason.
Beware all.

Lidar's are no joke, we use them where I live. I call them fuzz-buster, busters.
BTW, I was shot by a co-worker and it wasn't even funny. My V-1 went nuts. He just waived. BTW, I was not speeding.
I only speed when I am traveling on road trips and normally its 5-10 over.
When I was getting my NAV unit installed, a guy in a Mercedes SLK was getting one installed, they charged him $1200 for the complete install. Looked nice, but he got ripped off.
Sorry to see you got nabbed. We have cops here that shoot lidar and they are at the bottom of a steep hill, and they wait until they hit the bottom then they shoot the laser. Thats B.S. if you ask me.

Calm down... go back and show me in this thread where I "flamed" you! Again, you are wrong! Show the flame

I simply responded to someone else's post.
As for following you... this is an open thread on an open forum that I am a member of. I've got better things to do then "follow you". I have every right to post to this thread as the other person. If you dont like response's from individuals that dont agree with you on certain subjects then maybe you should consider not posting in forums.
We are all different and have different opinions and views. Thats what makes forums usefull... an opinion from both side = more information for everbody!
You should be open to all opinions when posting on any forum.
One warning though, it isn't as "polite" over here!
