Default Stealth V1 Install w/ Side Curtain Airbags

I am looking to do the stealth install of my V1 as discussed in these threads:

Install #1 (jelledge)
Install #2 (drivesolo)

My question is if anyone has done the install in a car with the side curtain airbags. In both of the above threads, people mentioned the side curtain airbags issue, but no one ever responded as to how to do it.

I did a search on this and could not come up with anything.

If someone has done this, where did you tuck the cords?

Thanks.

i did a similar install but i followed rahtoks instructions using the headliner insert screw and drilled a hole in the visor clip for the V1. I have the side curtain airbags and this install was not probelm at all due to the air bags. I ran the wire along the headliner from the display unit, down the b piller, and to the hard wired connection via the cig lighter by the back of the armrest, not to the fuse box. Do this stealth install and you wont regret it.

Confirming mofoz' response describing that the side-curtain bags are not an issue, I followed both write-ups you linked when I installed my V1, but used jelledge's mounting method (jelledge's thread is actually your "Install #2"). Regarding wiring and the side-curtain airbags, once the trim/rubber door seal are pulled around the driver's door, the wire can be pulled through from the V1 in the rear as described in the posts, then routed along the edge of the headliner - "just along the roof rail", as jelledge described - and down under the dash. The side curtain bags are not in the way - although I wonder how the wire might affect them if they are activated?

Anyway, one more comment to something mentioned in drivesolo's write-up: I used the cable (8') that came with the V1 to connect the V1 to the fuse box without issue. It barely reached, but it made it!

The only problem I had was finding a ground for the fuse box connection. I initially thought I was using the one drivesolo had pictured, but apparently not. It took me some time to find one, but that was probably just me...

Good luck!
