NICE! I like to put the sub there. Does the mat prevent the sub from air flow? Maybe put a two inch tube (down) to help air flow?
Is it flush (floor wise) with the stock stuff? Or you had to raise it a few inces?
What size is the sub?

Yeah, the mat and cover plate over the sub do of course lower the output a bit. However, the frequency response from the sub in its current install is perfectly flat, which is amazing in a car. I didn't have to EQ the low sub frequencies at all. Given that, I'm keeping the mat and cover plate in place. For reference, the wood cover plate that goes over the sub does have a hole cut in it that is the size of the sub. Only vinyl is covering the sub... no wood.

The false floor is roughly at the same height as the original floor, so no storage space was lost. This was one of my requirements.

The sub is a 10".
