Default infinity perfect 6.1

Guys,

I like to replace my front speakers with infinity perfect 6.1 for now. I will be using the stock Non bose HU. This will not be powered by an amp (at least for now, I might add it later). Where do you mount your tweeter?

Also, do you disable the factory tweeter? How is the fit.

I currently have a basslink and diamond audio (m361i) in the rear.

the new tweeter replaces the factory tweeter. it is a very easy swap to do. just pull off the panel where the factory tweeter is. the tweeter comes out by removing a screw that goes into the back of the tweeter and two more screw on the sides of the bracket on the back (you'll know what i mean when you see it). to put the new tweeter in stick the tweeter in the spot it needs to go and then put the bracket over it and just put the two side screws in. the new tweeter will be held in position very well.

i also recommend you get an amp for the speakers. they will not play very well (or loud at all) running on the power from the factory unit.

Tony, I am also getting these speakers, and have a question on them, and was going to start a new post, till I seen yours.
Hope it is ok I ask my question with yours.

I have the Kenwood 7015 HU, which has 50w x 4
What is the best way to use this power to run the Infinitys ?
(I will not be adding an amp for awhile)

Can I get 50w to the mids and 50w to the tweeters ?

Thanks

Guys,

Can you stay with the stock wiring (front speakers to HU nonbose) using the Perfects speaker and amp?

Thanks,
Tony

that amp should definitely be sufficient for the perfects (or kappas - but keep the gain a but lower then). the shop i was working at installed a lot of the new rf line amps and they are pretty sweet i must say.

i'm not 100% sure about this and you should clarify it with someone else to make sure but it's possible if you connected the headunits output for front and rear Left to the left c/o and then the front and right output for the right c/o it would supply each c/o with 100W. now of course even if it does do that that's really only like 44 watts RMS, which is really under powering the Perfects. a new amp would be the way to go. but if it's just temporary you can try that out. it's just bridging the channels, so i dont see why it wouldn't work.
