Default AVIC-N1 Help

Took a short road trip to the Denver Grand Prix yesterday and met up with some other Z members. I entered the address in Denver and I was off. No problems until I got to Denver.

When I got to Denver, the voice kept telling me to stay left (at every intersection) when I was on I-25. It did this for 11 miles until I reached my destination.

Does anyone know how to stop the voice from telling you to stay on the same road you are traveling on? Kinda annoying for the voice to interupt the music every few miles. I can see if you need to turn but a straight line on an Interstate? Come on.

Anyone else experience this problem? I wonder how I can fix this?

I had the same problem going on I-4 in Orlando. Hopefully someone will help, but you may also want to try the AVIC forum on yahoo. You can get there from www.avicn1.com

already updated to Version 1.1. Well, my 1400 miles road trip to Corpus Christi was a nice trip. The Nav worked great. It still has a few kinks but overall I am happy with it.

My Speed sensor says it is not connected. Anyone know what this means? It also said my illumination is not connected either. hmmm? This is located in the settings area.

Were there waypoints on the screen posted at the intersections?
If so you could take them out.
Do you have the 1.1 upgrade? I`ve never had this happen with the 1.1, but I only had my unit in for about 2 weeks before I got the upgrade.

If the speed sensor wire and illumination wire are not connected, you need to take it back to the installer and tell them to do it right. You have to hook up the speed sensor wire behind the dash. It's located in one of the wiring harneses going into the white box.
Also, if you used a wiring harness kit, you should have an illumination wire that needs to be connected.

So what does the speed wire do? My speedo works on the NAV.

The installer did have a hard time finding it but he really didn't know what he was doing, + they busted my heater core which cost them $900.00 to replace it. I still have radiator fluid under my carpet which they supposedly cleaned. grrrr. Making another trip back to the Idiots!

Anyway I'll take it back when I get to home this Saturday.

I also heard the illum does not work in any Z. Only thing that works is the daytime/nighttime button?
