is there anyway i can use the dvd rom in the 350z to watch movies with?

my question is can i use the dvd rom that comes with the 350z to watch actual dvd's and also can i watch it on my navigation screen? what can i do without alot of modifications? is there anyway to hack into the stock dvd rom system to use to real dvd's etc? thank you... please reply a.s.a.p if possible... thanks...

the stock dvd is not good for anything other than nav functions. if it were possible everybody would have done it already.
