Default Aftermarket deck installation

Guys,

I am confused like hell. I am not sure if I want to stay with my stock nonbose HU or go with the after market. If I stay with my stock HU, I will like to add an amp. Not sure if it is going to sound good with that combination including speaker change.

In terms of installing the aftermarket deck, do you have to take any side panels of the console off?

Most of Alpine has a one bit D/A converter and thats my concern. I listen to cd a lot.

Also, I currently have a basslink spliced onto the rear. If the aftermaket has a rca input, would that go into that one of the inputs? Most unit has 3 inputs?

Tony
