The xbox is better because because it has a 700mhz processor vs the 300mhz processor in the playstation which = over twice an fast and none of those annyoing "loading" screens for 10 min. It also has a lot better graphics

Jk...that was just a subtle way of commenting that the wide body kit looks a little RX8'ish, haven't seen in person though so can't say for sure. Beautiful car though.

Now back to our regular scheduled programming....

nah! that wasn't my Z on ebay. That was this dude in TX. same wide body different wheels, hood, spoiler, etc.

As for the RX8 dig, ouch!!! I am hurt

I am 60% finished. I should have some pics for you guys of the whole life ending process by next monday.

I will tell you this. these do it urself sites make this $hit look easy. It IS NOT EASY!!!.

Hell just dynomatting the car took like 8 hours. I broke 2 rollers and cut my the hell out of my hands on all of that d@mn sheet metal. The running the speaker wires through the door sounded so easy. Yeh until u have to deal with that d@mn rubber boot/plastic latch thing.

The easiest part was the part that most folks bitched about, running the 0/1 gauge wire was easy.

well, I promise pics soon.

Why are you running 0/1 gauge wires?
Your video screens shouldn't drain that much power.

What else are you hidding in there?

I chose 0 gauge wire for two reasons

1. I want to be able to upgrade to whatever I want in the future.

2. for now I am running

1 800 watt amp to 2 MTX 7500 10" subs
2 100 watt amps (i got two 2 channel amps instead of one four channel because it looks better in the amp rack) one goes to the front and one to the rear speakers (kappa perfect 6.1s)
3 LCDs
one farad cap
x-box
back-up cam
converter

I am running the 0 gauge to a distribution/fuse block. Then 8 gauge to the 2 100 watt amps and 4 gauge to the converter and the 800 watts amp. I am also running all grounds back to a distribution block out to one 0 gauage ground.

At some point, there will also be a $hit load of neons and LEDs.

Stu - I wish I had a friend that could do this stuff cheaply!!!!

One thing I will say is that the painting of and fiberglassing is going well. I am wet sanding the sub box now and (if I do say so myself ) it is coming out rather nicely. Hell, I only have about 120 hours of work into the box and I don't even know how she sounds. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

as long as it's built to specs, it should sound awesome. how are you displaying your subs?

Hard to describe. I have one on each side of the truck centered, before the strut bar. They are slightly tilted toward the cabin. there will be the gratuitous NO2 bottle in the middle of them and the tv screens flank the NO2 bottle. Kinda hard to describe.

I built the box to specs. A little small for my taste. I usually like to toward the high side of the specs. each box is about .85 cu ft. Specs ask for .75-1. But I figured since I had two, I would be ok. I originally had one MTX 8500 under the strut tower and u could hear me a block away. So two 7500s should really kill.

These subs are sick. A huge improvement over their last series. I was worried for a minute b/c they stand about 8 inches high. They r tall as hell!!!! I wasn’t sure I had enough room for the magnet (since they sit in the box at an angle.) I will be sure to post pics of the subs b4 I put them in.

Very impressive build quality and design.

Are the MTX 8500's 10s or 12s?

a MTX d class (can't remember the numbers. Either 830.. something or 42.... something like that) If I remember, I will look at it tongiht when I go into the garage. I have three MTX amps that all looks the same. getting hard to remember which is which. I think I am getting old!

I build really good boxes

you can build a switcher with a few 8 prong relays and some buttons.
