Default XBOX MOD chips?

I saw a couple of them but not sure what I want to do. Actually not sure what they do? The chips? Xecuter 3 is I guess the newest out can anyone tell me about this chip or any other that I may want?

This is my goal to run DVD/Nav/out of an aftermarket screen. I have seard that you can rip games onto the XBOX so you don;t have to have the games with you. I am very interested in this mostly as a cost effective way get nav in my car.

This is where I found them...

EVOX is a dashboard you run on the xbox that replaces the normal one. It has nothing to do with the chip you buy. If you wanna use the box to run NAV you are gonna hafta really do your homework on modding xbox's. Setting something like this up is more difficult than you'd think.

Although the XBOX would have the ability to run unsigned MS code to make back-ups of XBOX games you own, if you don't know what you're doing don't expect to get your NAV running off of it. You could also rip your DVD's into the hard drive on the box and play them with Media Player right off the box. The box I got in my living room has SNES, NES, PS1, NeoGeo, Genesis, Gameboy Advance, etc. all rolled into 1. A modded XBOX definately the way to go if you're looking into playing games and stuff in your car.

The computer would be a much easier thing to DIY however

JEEZ! I used to sell pre-mods a long time ago and the price of a mod chip was like $20. Those prices are insane

Yeah, if you want to do nav you will need to learn Linux too so if you don't already know Linux you may want to rethink this. Now with that being said, I love my setup, sure I don't have Nav but with a PC you can't exactly play ripped Xbox games now can you Seriously though if Nav is your ulitmately goal be ready to read and read and them read some more and learn a lot, this isn't easy at all.

peanuthead, I have been trying to copy the entire DVD to hard drive for a while and no one seems to have the final answer, maybe you can help me out. When I use DVD2Xbox it copies all the individual files, seems like it would create a big .vob file for me to select to play the entire movie, other than the individual scenes. You know when you rip games it copies all the files but the executable file plays the game, can't really do that with a DVD. Please help

189.99 buy it now.

So how would you work it. Would you just install it into your car and hardwire it somewhere, then hook it up to the LCD screen?

i like it because of its size and price. it's smaller than a mouse and only cost me $150. someone told me about it, they loved it. you can also use it with a pda. voice nav, gps w/in 10yds, if you miss a turn, it automatically corrects your route. i've never owned a nav so i don't have anything to compare it to.
