Does 24-bit DAC matter if...

Does 24-bit DAC matter if I use my HU's AUX Input capability?

Does it even go through that conversion, or is that just for CDs?

An example would be plugging in my iPod. Would it make ANY difference if my HU had 24-bit DAC?

So, to just make absolute clarity, if it were 1-bit, the AUX sound quality would be the same as if it were 24-bit, correct?
