Default Kazaa, does it work anymore?

After Napster left I use to use Kazaa, it has been a while, but when I try to load songs now they all play for a few seconds then i get this screaching, sounds.
Anyone else having this issue?
Is there another P2P like Kazaa?

Actually, what you are downloading are corrupted files put on the Fasttrack network (kazaa) by the music companies themselves to thwart of our "stealing" of music. I recommend using the guntella network, as they usually protect themselves against those fakes. But all you have to do is make sure to look at the bit rate, size of the file, and length, and make sure it seems kosher. It's a bit of work, but it becomes second nature.

Good luck.

I say screw Kazaa, Morpheus, Grokster, etc. All of these P2P servers are full of spyware. I am currently using WinMX. Go to www.winmx.com and download the 800kb software. WinMX does not use spyware so your comp is still safe except for the ******** that post viruses, etc. With WinMX, you can download anything from music to movies to other software. It is the best P2P out there IMO.

Does this ARES have any spyware attached?

If so, will it still function if you remove or refuse the spyware?
