Guys,

I have a Phoenix gold amp with a setting of LP/HP/Bypass. What is Bypass anyways (plain english)? When I set it as HP, the tweater for the Infinity Perfect 6.1 is very harsh (bright). The setting at Bypass seems to work best.


For the perfect, I have it set 0db for the tweeter. I should have set it at -4db, but I am not going to remove the door panel just to make the adjustments. Too much work!!! Plus I have an Alpine 9833 that I think can control the settings, but since I am new, I don't know all the configurations.

bypass let's all the frequencies through. no filtering. ie, HP lets all freq above a cutoff point through. LP lets all freq below a cutoff point through. bypass lets it all through. HTH
