Any good SACD setups?
Hey guys, I'm trying to make some plans in anticipation of finally getting a 350Z soon, and one of the things I am interested in is a good sound system. Nothing big and booming, just great sounding. I am planning on a 2.1 channel setup, nothing more. I am a home audio enthusiast and want to include my favorite aspects of home audio in my car. I don't know how many people are familiar with Super-Audio CD, but they are a phenomenal leap forward in the quality of home listening. I can't explain the technologies too well, but basically they have a higher bit-rate for a more detailed sound. I am most impressed with the 2-channel SACDs, rather than the multi-channel, but thats besides the point. What I am wondering is if anyone knows of any good head units that play SACD, or do they exist. Any suggestions would be appreciated or if you could just tell me where to look, like I said, I know very little about car audio, just home audio. Plus, what would be a good 2 speaker + sub setup for what I am looking for? I'm big on low THD and high effeciency.
I would look first at the nakamichi head units. They make the cleanest possible sounding decks on the car audio market. I would not put it past them to have SACD technology in some of their head units.
If I was going to say...the best 2 speaker + sub setup would entail a set of Dynaudio component speakers with a single Eclipse 10.
The cleanest car audio amps on the market now are the Phoenix Gold Xenon series(if people dont believe me look up the s/n ratios) I would run a Phoenix Gold Xenon 100.2 for the components and a Xenon 400.1 on the sub.
This set up would cost around.....$2,000 if installed correctly with all the nice bits like dynomat and 4 gauge wire with nice RCA cables.
Where in texas are you from?

Thanks for the input. I'll start looking around. By the way guys, if you haven't listened to SACD, you should check it out, it is amazing!
Ahsmo, I am from Bedford, Texas, just north of Fort Worth. Whereabouts do you reside in Texas?
