Looks pretty good, going to ask the guy about vinyl instead of carpet.
At less than half the price of Nazar's just wondering if anyone has bought one? Are you satisfied with the quality? The feedback seems to indicate people like their box...
If the guy will do vinyl I'll buy one and review it for everyone else. The only advantage I see to Nazar's box (fiberglass vs. MDF doesn't matter that much) is it probably has slightly more airspace....

I requested some pics from the seller. His response:
Hi
Here are couple pics of a box I am in the process of screwing together. I tried loading them on 350zfrenzy but it keeps telling me my pics are to large when they are a low res pics--who knows. I do have a light grey carpet ordered for those who have frost interior.

He should post his prices and return emails.
From what i've read, his work is well respected.

Guys,
From looking at the box, i still don't know how we can slide the box from the rear through the front.
It seems like the front has a bigger opening, then it concaves in (slide curve)? I am talking about the shortest distant from one end to another.

I have a Nazar box, it's about 23 lbs and up close looks much tighter, well constructed, and professional than what I see above. Frankly I think I can do a better job than that MDF one. Fiberglass conforms perfectly to all of the grooves, angles, and nuances of the strut bar, Nazar's looks like one complete unit without any seams, gaps, or construction points visible.

I am trying to make up my mind about Nazar's box. He told me he can have the box powder coated (90% match to the z color). But I would like to see a pic before ordering. Does anyone here have that setup? Thx!

Hello
My name is Mike I am the builder of the boxes listed on Ebay.
I had been looking for a sub box for my z and decided to make my own. Since building the first box, I had been to a couple car shows and had great response to the box and a request for one. So I decided to sell them on Ebay at a reasonable price of $160-$170 not $350+ unfinished.
Luckily the design does allow it to slide in from the back of the car. I have worked with carpet for years. I have had some requests for vinyl but I am not confident enough as of yet to do so.
The boxes do actually fit rather well to the curves of the strut bar.
I live in Sarasota, Florida if any members live locally and are interested in stopping by and checking out the box in my z to see fitment.
ANy ?'s feel free thanks mike mlg9770@comcast.net

You found my thread Mike.
So far...
Pros for this box:
COST!!! (Actually only costs 32% of the fiberglass box!)
Slight weight savings.
Slide in fitment.
Seems like a good vendor.
Cons:
No choice for cover material.
Less airspace.
Hmmm... I guess it all boils down to budget really, this box is good for the price.
My problem is most every sub I'm interested in requires .4 or .6 minimum cubic feet of airspace. Since I want two tens, this box would only offer about .3 per sub. This'll probably be the determining factor in my purchase, everything else is minor...

nazar does have ways of making the fibrglass lighter ..just ask. and as for wood, you loose air space. if you want wooden boxes just ask nazar im sure he can get them cheeper and covered in whatever you want. no hard feeling but i just really believe in him.

The wooden box looks like it could give more airspace .. but weight would obviously be increased.
And actually, his price is pretty good for a non-square & carpetted MDF box.
