Yes, you just pull out the plug for your stock antenna. You then insert this "one into two" splitter. You then plug your antenna wire into one of the ends of the splitter and the FM modulator receiver into the other. You then need to tune your radio to a certain FM channel and there you go.

PS2 is easy to install. Just need to have an inverter, all of the standard ps2 wires, and then run the power wire to the inverter and the audio/video wires go to the tv's brain.
If you have one of the new ps2's, the tiny ones, one of those small cubby holes behind the seats is a perfect place to mount one, too.
I highly recommend wireless controllers for use in cars though.

Thanks that was one of the areas of concern was powering the PS2. As far as the power inverter, should a 170 watts be sufficient? I was looking at getting this one.

I am getting the newer version which should fit right in the little cubby in the glove box. Should I be concerned with heat since it's an enclosed area?

As far as the enclosed area goes, you shouldn't worry about the ps2 overheating while it is off. When the ps2 is on, you should keep the door to it open. That will provide extra ventilation for it as well as give the controllers somewhere to run the cable. You need the door open for the controllers whether you have the regular controllers or the wireless ones because the signal will not travel through the door on the wireless controllers, however the wireless ones are a lot more convenient because they dont get tangled up and are easier to store away.

what about installation, how much is that going to run me to install everything (LCD, PS2, wiring)

how hard was it to install? I just don't want to get it installed and have the place wire it so i can't use it unless I have the parking brake on! Not that I am going to drive and play PS2, but if I have someone in the car they shouldn't have to suffer
its real easy. Took me like an hour. The only tricky part is mounting the ps2. Other than that it is a series of snaking wires through the car, that is all.
To mount the ps2, it is really a matter of personal preference. You can screw it into place with glued-on or velcroed braces, or wire tie it into place in a similar fashion.
As far as snaking the wires, the power wire goes from the back of the ps2 to the inverter. The audio/visual wires (red/yellow/white) go to the matching colored terminals in the brain for the LCD monitor, wherever you have that mounted. (mine is under the passenger seat)

Thanks.
I talked to a guy at Circuit City today and he seemed to think that even a 75 watt inverter is sufficient. I guess I just need to verify this with other people.
So with the wireless controller, I don't have to be in front of the unit for the controller to work? COOL! I was wondering about that.
I got a quote from an installer today and I definately need to install it myself to save $$$.
This is what they want to charge me for installations
$200 LCD
$85 PS2
$80 XM Radio
$40 FM Modulator for XM
$40 XM Antenna
Do you happen to have any pics of your PS2 install? I'd like to see how you actually mounted it. Thanks.

I don't have it done in my Z. I did it my other car, '96 BMW M3. And I also did it in my friends 3000GT. I will get some pics of those today if I get a chance and post them up in this thread.
