I have the sony wx 7700 mdx and want to add XM satellite and DVD changer.

I will be using the XT-XM1 tuner for the satellite. I have a clarion 6-disc dvd changer.

Two questions:

1) I want to run a dvd changer through the head unit....using the head unit text. Can this be done with the clarion dvd changer or do I have to get the Sony DVX-100 dvd changer. Will I be able to control the Sony dvd changer 100% through the head unit?

2) Can I add the XT-XM1 tuner and the Sony dvd-changer at the same time?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I tried during as much research as I could on the net, but am still a little confused.

You would heve to add the Sony Dvd changer to "integrate" with the mdx. If you have a monitor, just about any dvdplayer/changer can be added thru the video inputs. The xm tuner--provided it is a Sony, should integrate with no problem. Also see if your head unit has an aux, and able to broadcast that in stereo. You might be able to pick up the audio and run it thru your unit. Ask a tech at Sony ( call their 1-800 #) i wouldn't inform them that you have j-spec unit. Most techs in the USA are unfamilair with their Japan counterparts. Most J spec units integrate with US models.
