Can anyone reccommend an excellent 4 or 4.5 inch component set? I am seriously thinking about doing a 3-way install. I am thinking about using Image Dynamics, a 10 for my sub and their 6.5 for midbass in the doors. ID doesn't make a 4 inch comp only 5.25 to 6.5. I have kick panels that will house a 4inch and tweet fine. If I had to I could modify the kick's to accept a 5.25 but I wasn't trying to go that route.

 

I dont think there is a company out there that makes a 2 way component set with 4 inch mid bass drivers...however

If you want to go super high end you could buy home audio drivers and adapt those over for your install. This would require a four channel amp and a two channel amp because you would be running all the speakers in active not passive crossover.

That is the super high end route.

You are better off modifying your kick panels.
