Default 10W6V2 wiring questions

I just recently purchased 10W6V2 to replace 10W0.
Now, I have a really simple and stupid questions since I do not want to mess up this beautiful sub.

1. The speaker wire, do I need to install some kind of pin before I insert it to the push-terminals? Or just the bare wire should be sufficient.

2. The sub will be driven by 300/2 but I might swap it with Xenon 400/1 in the future. Should I use the parallel setting on the voice coil (2 ohm)?

Thanks in advance.

1. Bare wire should be fine
2. Yes, you should wire it in parallel to give you a 2 ohm impedance. I'd power it with the class D Xenon amp if I was you. Bridged, the 300/2 is capable of 3-8 ohms. As you can see this is not ideal, since the 10w6v2 will me wired in parrallel to give 2 ohms. Even if the 300/2 bridged was stable at 2ohms, I still would not use it to power that sub. 300W is just not enough to have the 10w6v2 work at it's best. That's my 2 cents.

I didn't look up the specs on the 300/2, but if it's not 2ohm stable, don't wire the sub to 2ohms. Wire it up for 8, if the amp is 8ohm stable.

300W is good enough for a 10w6v2. I'm running 3 10w6v2s with an Xtant 300.1 to each in a sealed enclosure. It's plenty loud.
