What color car do you have? How do you think those seats would match with the CS? Those things are SWEET.

No prob bro, ur chinese too huh I noticed that from your pics. So am I, haha. Yah mabybe the weekends we can meet up or something and race down that Grand street towards DB it usually clear of cops until u hit valley. Any ways Im try to go ahead with the speaker install and see if I can install it myself cuz I can't stand the speakers, they're horrible. One question I have is there any splicing involved for the stock speaker wires because I am going to install components or is it just attaching it to the new speakers without doing any cutting and is a spacer really neccesary. Thanks for your help.

The stock speakers come with a factory adapter that plugs in. You didn't say whether u r installing an amp or not. If u r, then u would definitely need to reroute the wires..........if not, and u r sticking with the factory head unit and all......just cut out the factory speaker plug and add on ur own adapter and plug into ur new speakers. As far as the spacers, i'm like 95% sure that u will need it........i installed diamonds which r pretty thin, and i still need them........good luck w/ ur install.

Hey Jabroney12,

Can you post pics of your install as well? I am interested in doing an upgrade on my car but don't really know what to expect. Are you changing out the HU as well? Well hope your install comes out well.

GixxerBB,

When you are done do you mind if we meet up somewhere so I can check out your system. I live in Chino Hills so it's just next door to DB. I would like to see the quality of the video screen. Let me know if you can that would be cool.

Well, i tried the installation earlier this afternoon and got everything off. But I'm having some problem getting the spacer to fit on my speakers either Im doing it wrong or its not suppose to fit flush. And since I dont have a solder iron I cant connect my the HU wires to my speakers. Im going to hold off on it until either I get enough funds to pay for an install or maybe have gibb help me out.

I know exactly what happened.........stupid me connected the wires wrong.........this just goes to show one shouldn't do an install in a dark garage..........o well, i'll be more careful next time. As of now, I'm looking at getting either the newer 5 channel MTX or the Soundstream Rubicon.........leaning towards the Soundstream tho.........hopefully everything will turn out good. When i'm done, i'll post and we can meet up somewhere.

Nice looking setup GixxerBB!

You can't take the back area out instead of drilling holes? Remember seeing a post where a guy says the cubby hole comes out by removing some screws.

How come you didn't drill the holes for the remote? Did you re-route the remote unit or are you not using it at all? Or is the remote just not necessary?

The Farenheit T-5801 was purchased from etronic.com, they definitely have the lowest price anywhere. As for the chubby hole, hmm........the whole piece including the double din area is all one piece and is removable by a few screws, but the nav hole itself cannot be remove from anything........and it's sealed. So the only way u can route wires through it is to drill a hole. I didn't have to make a circular cut like everyone else did for the remote sensor because I unsoldered the little remote piece and placed it somewhere between my two head unit. Makes for a good stealth install, and also eliminates the need to make that small hole. Hope this helps.

Thanks
