Hey, no problem.

Yep, two antennas. I mounted both of them on the rear brace. Sirius on top of the plastic, passenger side, GPS under the plastic, driver side. Both work great.

ok i got two problems... i got my 5435 today but the guy sent me the wrong serius tuner... then i look in the box and i dont c a map disc... or a authicity disk.. i was reading the eclipse web site and it says i need a disk

"ECLIPSE’s proven theft-deterrent measure works with a user-designated CD or a Memory Stick, depending on the AVN model, to control system activation. The selected media can be set to be a key device that the system must recognize before it will activate. Without the key device, the system remains locked and will not operate. When the vehicle’s engine is off, an indicator will continually flash. The AVN5495 uses a Memory Stick and the AVN5435 uses a CD. "

i dont have this cd
and i didnt get a map disk...

i emailed the guy. i bought it off ebay the seller has a 5900 feedback with a 98% rating. i didnt think id have a problem

You get to choose which of your CDs you want to use as the "key" CD. Have a look at the manual under activating ESN.

Sorry, can't help you about the MAP DVD. Gotta have that one for Navi.

I want to ask a question , does your navigation voice come in low---or if you activate the adaptive voice, if your unit is loud and the voice comes on, is it real low volume. low that you have to turn down the volume to hear it. I am having this problem. I was going to contact eclipse but thought I would get a faster response.

Randy350z, I'm using mine just as it came out of the box with no tweaks to the Nav volume. It's plenty loud. I'll check some things on my deck Thursday and get back to you.

I don't know why it took me so long to find this thread but I just fell in love with this HU. There seems to be alot of different models of this HU... what would you recommend if I wanted all the bells and whistles but no sirus? And do you need an after market amp to run this HU? Thanks!

Randy350Z, ok......

Just used the Nav for a 1300 mile trip to Texas. No problems with the voice volume level at all. Is there a specific setting that you are using which I'm not aware of? I didn't change anything on the Nav voice upon installation.

You'd want the AVN5495...........have alook at the eclipse website for all the details. Only reason I didn't go with the AVN5495 is it does not have Sirius control functions built in at this time, which is a must on my list.

Okay, so I spent most of this weekend looking for the Eclipse AVN and only one respectable shop has them on hand. They were asking for $1600 for the AVN5435. The only thing stopping me from making the purchase was the $200 installation fee. Does that sound about right? $200 for installation?
