I got my 3/4 MDF from Lowes, it only comes in 4'x8' sheets, i have never seen it in any pre cut sizes. Home Depot has it too. Youll need a truck or have them cut it down for you. But youll have to buy the whole sheet.

Im still working on my box, i did a re-calculation of my box and subs, and ill need to add some poylfill Plus i installed my new amps on the back of the box and still need to finish the trim. Plus a re-tune. Ill take pictures after im done.

Ok guy, i finaly got the pictures. As you can see i got new Alpine type-S 10" to replace my old type-E. I also got new alpine V12 amps to replace my older v-power amps. And the good thing is i sold my older alpine stuff. i got it pretty much tuned out the way i want, but there may be a few adjustment during the week.

Both those amps aren't powering the subs are they? Or do you have one for the rest of the speakers in the car?

The one on the right is the M605 and the left is MRV-F345
605 powers my two subs, the other everything else
I got both amps, and 2 type-S subs for $835

Thanks for all the complements. BAD news, ill have to take out all my audio system, to have my car repaired. I got rear ended Tuesday. I am going to try to make the other guys insurance pay for my time for the removal and re-installation of my system.

I feel your pain James. Hope everything turns out to be OK in the end. Great idea to remove your sound system.

When I got rear ended in my 90 300zx, I didn't bother to remove my Alpine /stereo stuff when I took it in for repair. So, when I picked it up, my tweeters were missing. Some punk kid ripped it off.

Sorry to hear about your bad news hope you get it sorted quickly & they do a good repair job.

Like your sub box, nice to see something a bit different makes good use of the more or less useless area from the rear speakers to the strut brace

nice box james very clean! but if you build the box where the subs face to the rear (under the strut bar) there will be a HUGE difference! seriously. my box was like yours at first (subs firing up) but the bass quality was poor and weak so i re-made it so the subs fire toward the trunk and the echo off the hatch really amplifys the sound. not trying to flame just words from past experience. unless your just going for look then... Great Job!!!!!!!! like i said CLEAN!

Nice setup man... I have a similar set as you... Whats different are the fronts/rear/sub... What V12'd do you have 605/345?... I have my 345 on order... Ill get it sometime this week...

Anyway... All you need now is the "Amp-Link"... Too bad the only place that has the "Y-Adapter" has it on back order...

Sorry to hear about that car... I hope all goes well with that...

Oh year are you in Norcal or Socal?

Well the repair shop is ordering all the parts needed to repair my baby. Said take about 3 weeks for the repair. At a estame cost of 4,200 thats encluding the 1,100 exhaust
