to be honest it was really easy this is the first time i have evere done something like this and i am not that good with car hook up or anything like that all it took was some commen know how. i will post some power pics during the week how and where i ran the wires. and going to write up what parts i used and what you really need for this. one thing im already thinking about i taking out the 40gig drive and droping a 100gig drive mucis movies and internet using the cell phone connection and wifi who needs an office when u got one in your car

Good job MERK350Z
What front end and power management are you using? A carpc is really the ultimate mod because you can mod it continuously for very little money once you have the base system in.

When you do a CarPC a touch screen is important. While you are driving, you want to glance at the screen and touch what you want, you don't want to be looking around for the pointer.

thats why i used a laptop; some people are using all out desktops andi feel thats over kill for a car i think the laptop is just as upgradeable as a desktop and much easy and faster . for example i take off one screw to take out hard drive on the ibm laptop 30sec i just upgraded a hard drive. and the glove box behind the passanger seat is really not that hot.i check out the laptop few days ago i had the top down and i was driveing to the beach total time 3hrs in the sun and the laptop working the whole time and it was no hotter then leaving it on a desk . listen if anyone is thinking about doing this use a LAPTOP im serious cuts your time by half and your money half the headach
