Just finished another G35, this time a Black 06 Coupe.
starting off, a Pioneer 6800 DVD 6 disc double din dvd changer with 7" screen was installed via the double din finisher. the stock nav is retained. A switch below the steering column activates the bypass...and stock nav voice output is routed to the stock door speakers, as you will see that the new front stage is not in the doors at all

front stage consists of a set of DLS ultimate UP6 6.5" component set in custom fabricated off axis kick panels lined in sude. as mentioned before, the combination of DLS speakers and the G's interior makes for a great image and staging. sound appears to come from eye level, and is well centered near the clock.

powering the system is a DLS refernece series RA40, bridged to provide each front channel wtih over 150 watts, and a jl audio 500/1 powering a 4080 box mounted 10w6v2..here is the sub

now at this point, i would like to invite you to guess where the amps are
lets see, are they under the floor in the trunk?
nope
below the seats?

no way, not enough room anyway to fit two decent size amps with the powered seat mechanism...
so...anyway wanna take a guess as to where the amps are?
i will post pics of them later on hahaha i am so bored

okay okay...now i will probably get ripped for being technical with the words, but they are honestly not UNDER any seats
here we got:

they are BEHIND the front seats haha...now if you go back and look at that one pic of behind the seat, you can see the edge of the amp rack top haha
a few answers to some questions you may have:
1. the seat can travel all the way back
2. the top panel is supported so no you wont collapse it by stepping on it, i tried lol
3. the floor is rasied by about 2.25", and really donest affect the back seat leg room that much, i tried sitting there myself to verify and i am 6'1" i ran out of headroom first lol
4. there are ventialtion spots so its not compltely sealed off, for cooling, the RA40 almost never overheats, the 500x1, if it really does, i can always add a squirell cage fan...
okay, now you can bash me by saying you guessed underseat before
