Talking

This is exactly what I am looking to do with that cool compartment lid. Except, I'm looking to drive a rear mounted color camera next to the rear licence plate, instead of a DVD, and have the whole system start when the lid hits a microswitch in the open posistion. This will fill the void behind the lid and behind the car where visibility isn't the best. BTW I saw the same rig in a Japanese rent-a-car that switched the NAV to review when shifted into reverse. Way cool!

Also, want to have a switchable input to play digital images from a portable Archos multimedia player.

One question to other users... which LCD is considered the best in quality, next best and cheapest?

Thanks-

Question Sound quality through RF Modulator

Just wondering what the quality of the DVD sound is when played through the RF modulator? I'm assuming that best case scenario would be that it would sound as good as regular FM stations - losing the extra dynamic range of DVD audio.

But what about interference and general quality of the audio? Other than that, that's a slick install and does exactly what I was looking for!

Cool Cool LCD installation job-, but questions..

Awesome,
Could you please disclose the actual model # of the StarVision 5.6" LCD, since www.etronics.com lists several Starvision 5.6" LCD's?

I am thinking what a pain it would be to return a LCD that does not fit....

You mentioned that some angles do not look clear, how about the angle from the driver's seat?

I do like the Starvision 7", but I am thinking that if the 5.6" that you installed fits so snug, that the 7" will be too big for the hole?

Also , how did you decide on the Pyle FM modulator?

I have seen different styles of FM Modulator out ther in the $30 prioce range, some that have the antenna cable built-in, some do not.
Not sure how they compare to those that do not have an antenna input? Anyone do research on that?

I am thinking of shoving a Pyle DVD120 in the mailbox slot for DVD\MP3 playback if it will fit, waiting to get back some info on the dimensions for that model to make sure that it will fit the 2" Height limit of the mailbox.
If not , then going with the Blaupunkt ME-1 DVD playerin the glove compartment as a second choice.

Question Faranheit T-7001MHR install

Hello,
I am currently install a Farenheit T-70001MHR, which I bought from Ebay for total with shipping of $215.
I could not find any other LCD monitor that would fit a 2003 Enthusiast W\O Bose so perfectly.
The Starvisions that are currently available online, are different models, and not seem like they would fit. There is one Alpine model that will fit, but it is usually finding it for $399.00 and no less.
My question is this....... Which Hot wire in the harness did you use to power your monitor?
I read one post that indicated using the light green wire on the far left of the "big" plug (factory plug).
This translates to being the red (hot) is using an aftermarket receiver.
Since my head unit will draw 14V max and the LCD monitor draws 7.9 V max, I am wondering if connecting them both to this wire would draw too much,.....and blow a fuse?
Another wire might work, but not sure which one. Just start testing with VoltMeter? I would like to get it right the first time.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Yeah, I am looking at doing something like this too! If anyone has a step-by-step guide or any resource links, please post them here. Greatly appreciated.
