My Subs Hit Hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did someone watch the MythBusters last week or something?
The PROFESSIONALS - the ones who pour 1800 pounds of concrete into their vans, have tens of thousands of watts, who put fourty or more high end woofers into their cars don't break glass. The Mythbusters built a 42" woofer made with a steel cone and powered it with +200 horse power (about 20,000 watts worth of electrical energy) and only managed to pop the sunroof off its tracks generating +160 dB at sub-20 Hz.
The professional competition dB dragracer said that they had never measured a frequency that loud and low before.

Audiobahn aw1006t is rated at 95 dB at one watt. Driving it with 600 watts would produce 119 dB give or take. You will get some acoustical gains from the tiny little car's interior but you're about 15000 watts from real competition levels.

I'm not saying I believe his story but it certainly IS possible. I had a 2000 Eclipse and had only a 15" Solo-Baric running off of an audiobahn amp and definitely broke my front windshield. I was driving around with the windows open and the rear view mirror fell from the windshield. It was hot out so at first I thought the adhesive had just melted. Well when I looked closer there was a huge chunk of glass missing from my windshield and was attached to the adhesive of my dangling rear view mirror.
So like I said, I don't necessarily believe his story but with the right box it IS possible.

Does anyone here understand the concept of resonance?
His story is entirely possible, but who cares anyways.
I feel sorry for the guys ... he is wasting money left and right .. first buying Audiobahn ...and THEN having buying new glass ... the horror

I got it from TC CUSTOMS. High quality work, reasonable price. They also make a 3 10 in. woofer box that goes under the strut bar. Here is the link:

There is no way in hell that he shattered tempered glass with his set up. I worked for a glass manufacturing company for several years.
Who gives a rats a$$ how hard your subs hit. Your probably one of those annoying teens that basses their music at stoplights or the ones that drive down residential neighborhoods with their RAP music blaring!! Very annoying! WHO CARES what you broke!
