Ive had subs in all of the cars I have ever drivin and have never blown glass out. Ive ran 2 12's, then 2 15's in my explorer, 1 12 in my jetta, and now a 12 L7 in my Z. Only thing I have ever done with any of these setups is rattled my review off the windshield.
I doubt that you blew anything up with a 600 watt amp to TWO SUBS. That means each sub was getting 300 watts when rated at 900rms? The subs probably wouldnt even sound good, now your saying they shattered your window? Get that ish outta here LOL

I am going to join the masses and call BS on this as well. It is more believable that his window would have cracked (not shattered), but it would be due to a bad window seal rather than the subs.... audiobahn... ha, walmart must have had a sale....
